About Busua & the Western Coast
The coast west of Takoradi is where many visitors come to slow down. Busua has a sheltered bay that is good for beginner surfers, with surf schools and beachside guesthouses. Further along are Cape Three Points, Ghana's southernmost tip, and Axim with its old fort.
From Beyin you can visit Nzulezu, a village built on stilts over a lake, reached by canoe.
Travel tips
Allow at least two nights to make the journey worthwhile. Takoradi has an airport with flights from Accra, which saves a long drive.
