Who we are

This website is run by FlyToGhana ("we", "us"). FlyToGhana is our trading name; our company registration in Ghana is in progress and our full company details will be added here once it is complete. For any privacy question or request, email hello@flytoghana.com.

We aim to handle personal information in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), and, where they apply to you, the data protection laws of the country you live in.

What we collect

  • Trip and booking requests: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country of residence, travel dates, number of adults and children, places and activities you are interested in, budget, accommodation and transport preferences, any accessibility or special requirements you choose to tell us, and your message.
  • Airport pickups and transport: flight number, pickup and drop-off locations.
  • Quotes, bookings and payments: what you booked, prices, payments received and refunds. We do not ask for or store payment card numbers.
  • Messages: what you send us by email, WhatsApp or our contact form.
  • Newsletter: your email address and when you confirmed your subscription, if you sign up. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
  • Reviews: your rating, your review and the name you choose to show. We only publish a review if you agree.
  • Online payments: if you choose to pay online, our payment provider Paystack collects your card or mobile money details on its own secure page. We receive confirmation of the payment, not your card details.
  • Partner portal: the names and email addresses of partner staff who sign in to manage their bookings and listings.
  • Partners: business and contact details from the List Your Business form.
  • Technical information: your IP address and essential cookies needed to run the website securely. See our Cookie Notice.

We do not ask for passport numbers or other identity documents in our forms. Please do not send them unless we specifically need them to arrange a service.

How we use it

  • To reply to your request, prepare quotes, and arrange and manage your booking (because you asked us to).
  • To send you messages about your request or booking, including confirmations and receipts.
  • To keep financial and booking records we need to run the business and meet legal obligations.
  • To keep our website and services secure and to prevent misuse.

We will only send you marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

  • Our local partners (hotels, drivers, guides, tour operators), but only the details they need to provide your service, such as your name, travel dates, number of travellers, flight number and pickup location.
  • Service providers who run our systems, such as website hosting and email delivery, who process information on our behalf and only as we instruct.
  • Our payment provider (Paystack), when you choose to pay online, to process and confirm your payment.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

  • Requests that do not lead to a booking: up to 2 years, so we can help if you get back in touch.
  • Bookings and payment records: up to 7 years, for accounting and legal purposes.
  • Contact form messages: up to 2 years.

After these periods we delete or anonymise the information.

How we protect it

Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to customer information is limited to staff who need it for their role, and changes are logged.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Email hello@flytoghana.com. We may need to keep some booking and payment records where the law requires it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to Ghana's Data Protection Commission, or the data protection authority where you live.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
