About Sunyani & the Bono Region
Sunyani, capital of the Bono Region, is known as one of Ghana's cleanest and calmest cities. It is a good base for Bui National Park on the Black Volta, where boat trips look for hippos and birds, and for the Duasidan monkey sanctuary near Dormaa Ahenkro.
North of Wenchi, the Nchiraa waterfalls are a quiet stop off the main road.
Travel tips
Bui National Park is a long drive from Sunyani; set off early. Sunyani has a domestic airport with flights from Accra.
