About Tongo Hills & Tengzug Shrines
The Tongo Hills are a landscape of huge granite boulders south-east of Bolgatanga. At Tengzug, the Talensi people keep shrines in the rocks that draw pilgrims from far away. Visitors to the shrines follow local customs, which may include removing your shirt.
